I have lately wanted to try my hand at more complex paper flowers, or layered not just die cut and found some I liked new and old to use. Not all what I want but new ones I do like, and so got back into floral cards often for women – mums day, birthdays, wishes etc

These are ideas from Jamie Rodgers TV demos using plant pots with flowers, layered die cuts I bought and some I had already, and the centres of beads and buttons.

This is another current fad, the vellum paper for flowers and then found this sticky backed one that made a lovely background for my pink flowers and new Love-Wish-Sending die too. Really pleased. Might keep this for my daughters birthday as I always try to do different things for her, depending more on my mood than her wishes but pretty, pink and fashion are my go to;s for her.
The pink card in the end kept flopping too low so I created a link for the bottom to hold it up like an easel and decorated with a match flower on the back.
My other daughter is more alternative and like bright colours and music but wears mostly black so she might like the new ones in my next post!

These are two new stencils and glaze pastes (Jamie’s demo again at the retreat and on TV) which came out lovely. I like the pastel one most with the starry pastel sky from my fairy book, but the brights go with the stencil better.
