Recently I’ve been attending the local WI again, a different group but enjoyable with chat and also the craft group on Monday evenings. Next week I am going to help with air dry clay modelling class as I now have experience of that, and will take along my own ornaments to demonstrate and get them out there too.
I have, since starting only a few weeks ago …
Made two mosaic pot tiles that can be used as coasters, once completed with grout
Sewn a badge which took me back to my childhood when my mum taught me to cross stitch
Made a button for a wedding or whatever you want, demo’d by a previous flower arranger
Made a candle which was more interesting and fulfilling than I had ever expected
Learned to do a simple journal that inspired these creations now also for sale
Done my own cardmaking which others watched on a ‘general’ session if you don’t fancy trying the craft which was knitting or crocheting a crown for the jubilee with a new magazine freebie template I hadn’t had chance to try otherwise
I have had a personal demonstration of the Scan n Cut machine I am considering v the Cricut machine alongside my current manual die cutter
Others there sew, knit, crochet, chat, there’s a book club there too and a singing group
