Here are a couple of pretty birthday cards recently created for family members or at least inspired by them.

For my youngest daughter although an adult – I love this red and pink floral paper that matches the embellishment, on red card it really stands out – and add bows and flowers too and I think it’s really pretty and girly! Also it has two flaps, cut into four to hold the embellishments and make it a little different too. I am stuck on this technique for now once I discovered it!

Using the same paper here, and a complimentary one in green with white hearts I made the handbag and decorated with ‘plastic ribbonning’ and a gorgeous pearl ‘clasp’. Again, I used red and pink flowers to complement the cardbacking and the red card on a cream card blank which highlights the cream flower centres across this beautiful paper.

This one is created from an accidental idea of adding a flower embellishment to the flat flower templates I have in stock… matched with paper in a book I already had to hand because of the variety of colours and patterns ( which I do like to choose from!)…
