Selling publicly

Cards displayed on the board

Well, I am now more comfortable selling my cards publicly.  I attended the Woodend Mill Artist Studios in Mossley 5th-6th April, to support he open day for resident artists of a high calibre so I was a little out of place with my hand made cards made as a hobby!  However, I did sell some, opened some friends and business colleagues eyes to my cards when they popped in, as I also apparently did at the recent WI Shop Local event in Uppermill.

My stand at Woodend Mill

Sat is a cold corridor At Woodend Mill but friendly and supportive artists offering tea and chat and friendly other crafters supporting along the way

Showcasing my cards on the display boards with a variety of greetings ….

Chit chat with customers and passers by, meeting artists from water-colours, glass painters, photographers, and wedding dress makers to name a few …

I learned how to make paper roses (sort of!) from Paper Lilac  …

Paper roses ...

I have also now put some out on E-bay for a trial!  Getting braver with it, but so many talented creaters it will be hard to compete if that’s what I want, but even just showcase for the option rather than hard business!

But still enjoying it, having to sort out my bits so a few items to let go of (?!).
