These two cards were for my girls – one 21st birthday last year – very formal, grown up and gold for a very special birthday
Made from gold card, heart punched decorations, white tissue paper for inside and the dramatic contrast with shiny red behind it. It came out even better than planned, and I really took my time with it so it was extra special and perfect! My favourite to date I think!
….and one a 16th too, plus a Christmas present card because she loves a pile of boxes and packages to open on her birthday and Christmas Day…
The girl sitting on a present box was not easy to reproduce from a picture I’d seen but again, with time well spent and careful practice and creation, it came out lovely too – suited so well to this daughter, as the other was for her sister. Again, shiny card helped here, and where the other was gold, this was white and silver based for her age ….. (picture coming soon)
The Pile of Presents card just took over for me (picture soon). I love the contrast on black card for a change at this time of year from the usual red and green, or gold. It also enhanced the card colours I’d chosen – special cards, textures and drama for this one, and then I had some ‘fluffy stuff’ I had found and saved for her because I knew she’d love it – and she did! It just added the topping to the card – literally! 🙂
